The Language Assessment Center (LAC) is part of the English Language Learners (ELL) Support Services Department belonging to Alvord Unified School District, Riverside, California. This department not only consist of ELL, but also includes the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) services.

LAC provides two services to parents, students, and district employees. The first service is Bilingual Testing. All incoming non-English speaking students must be tested in order to be placed in the correct program for school.

The second service is Interpreting and Translating. This service is available primarily to district employees.
