1. How quickly can I get this translated?
Translations can vary in time depending on the length and complexity of the document. Interpreters are scheduled by teachers, special education department, etc. by calling our office at least 1 to 2 weeks in advance.
Depending on how busy we are we try to accommodate. Special Education Meetings can take between 1 to 1 ½ hours. Special Education Testing can take between 1 to 2 hours. We help specialists test students in the primary language (Spanish).
2. Can someone else do it, such as non-district interpreters?
Simple teacher notes or parent communications can be translated by other means. More complex documents MUST be sent to the LAC.
3. Can I use an electronic translating program?
No, since these programs do not always provide the correct translations.
